1. Sit on the edge of a chair with hands in front of your chest and knees bent at 90-degree angle.
  2. Lift the right leg few inches off the ground and raise up to standing by pushing with through your left heel. Exhale on the way up.
  3. After a brief pause, push your hips back and squat down, keeping the right leg lifted. Inhale when you lower into a squat.

Tip: to maintain your balance, focus on something several feet in front of you and keep a good posture throughout the movement
