1. Use a chair to support your upper body. Place your right hand and right knee on the chair. Your back should be straight and torso parallel to the floor.
  2. Grab a dumbbell from the floor with your left hand.
  3. As you exhale, activate the core and start to retract the left shoulder blade, pulling the elbow up and back.
  4. Hold and slowly return to the starting position as you inhale.
  5. Finish all the repetitions on the left arm, then switch sides.
